Installation ------------ If you are continuing to use previous academic year versions please install this version in a different directory. Though not required, we recommend uninstalling any existing demo or release versions prior to this release. Before using SCORE ------------------ *** IMPORTANT *** Make sure you have some data available from the LIS. To do this import an ILR file ** AND ** complete the calculate FE funding ** AND ** derived data calculations in the LIS. *** ALL 3 PROCESSES IN THE LIS ARE REQUIRED *** Using SCORE ----------- Always use the shortcut in your 'Start' menu or on your 'Desktop' to run SCORE. You will be prompted for the path to the LIS database(s) (LISdata2000.mdb) and, if not found automatically, the LAD database (LADyyyymmdd.mdb). SCORE will then build internal data using your LIS data. This process takes a few minutes, but will vary dependent upon the size of the provider and hardware specification. *** IMPORTANT *** Rebuild is also required whenever you import new ILR data and complete the calculate FE funding and derived data calculations in the LIS. By default you are prompted for this action whenever you start SCORE, plus the rebuild can be processed at any time from within SCORE using the button in 'System control'. If you do not rebuild when required spurious reports will be generated. Previewing reports ------------------ Before you are able to preview any reports a default printer must already be set up on your Workstation. The report menu is available by right-clicking in preview mode. Microsoft Excel export ---------------------- Microsoft Excel needs to be installed on your Workstation to view the export. Uninstall --------- Use 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel or the shortcut in the 'Start' menu. Updates ------- SCORE checks for updates automatically on a monthly basis or use the 'Check for updates' menu item under Help on the main menu to check manually. Updates will include additional and updated reports, improved functionality plus any additional or revised disadvantage uplift data. Support ------- Please contact support@drakelane.co.uk
